Paris, October 12, 2023 — H2V, a French player in the green hydrogen sector, and SAF+ Consortium, a Canadian world leader in the production and marketing of e-SAF (Electro Sustainable Aviation Fuel), have selected Marseille, Fos, as an ideal location to pool their respective expertise and offer e-SAF as an alternative to kerosene — a solution that is being eagerly awaited by the aviation sector. Following a study phase, the two groups will confirm their joint intention to produce 80,000 tonnes of e-SAF by 2030.

SAF+ Consortium, a world leader in the production and marketing of e-SAF (Electro Sustainable Aviation Fuel), signed a memorandum of understanding with the Air France-KLM Group for the supply of second-generation e-SAF during the Paris Air Show. The first deliveries of this fuel are scheduled for 2030. This agreement confirms the expertise developed by SAF+ Consortium at its Montreal plant since 2021.

SAF+ is proud to be collaborating with Airbus and Pratt & Whitney on this exciting initiative to develop next-generation sustainable aviation fuel, supported by the Government of Quebec. 

Leaders in the field of engineering were rewarded for exemplary projects at the 20th edition of the Grands Prix du génie-conseil québécois, an event presented on September 28, 2022, in Montreal by the l’Association des firmes de génie-conseil – Québec (AFG) (Association of Consulting Engineering Firms – Quebec).
