Varshiga holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Western University. She has worked on numerous process design projects, most notably the design of a green ammonia plant. She was also part of a research team focused on the conversion of carbon dioxide to methanol in a slurry reactor.
As an engineering intern in the Projects & Modifications department at Ontario Power Generation, she was involved in several major projects focused on the refurbishment of the nuclear power plant. These included the replacement of the main output and unit service transformers and fuel headers for the nuclear reactor.
