SAF+ Consortium expands its Board of Directors

Due to the strong growth of the consortium over the past year, we are pleased to announce the expansion of our Board of Directors.

Our sustainable fuel manufacturing project, located in the east end of Montreal, is progressing rapidly and it is now evident that we need to add complementary skills to our current board of directors.”, says Jean Paquin President and CEO of SAF+ Consortium.

SAF+ Consortium

As part of its participation in the “Aim High” competition – organized by the Natural Resources Canada [NRCAN] – the project intends to produce sustainable fuel for civil aviation [SAF] in the 4th quarter of 2021. A pre-commercial project of 3 million liters is planned for 2025, and a commercial project of 30 million liters is planned five years later, in 2030.

Our main partners: Air Transat, ADM, VCQ are members of the Project Management Committee [PMC]. Other partners are joining the consortium, such as the École Polytechnique, the CIRAIG and the CEPROCQ. Finally, Hydro-Quebec sits as an observer.
